➤About the Costume
We wanted to create an image in support of the "Cosplay =/= Consent" idea. We chose to create an image as a sort of public service announcement, speaking out against the unwanted objectification of female cosplayers through photography. The blurred background shows how sexualizing a cosplayer through a photograph focuses on her as a sex object, and works to ignore her as a person. Photography objectification is only one type of harassment that this movements is working to overcome, but one worth pin pointing!
